May 5, 2016:
I’m sure you all have heard the phrase “change is a good thing”. In fact, I’m sure most of you have heard it so many times that it is cliché by now. But I want to discuss why change really is strategic and essential when it comes to businesses; making change much more than simply “a good thing”.
An organization’s ability to change is critical to its success and survival. Being able to adapt, evolve and grow are key components to any thriving organization. The business landscape is ever-changing, regardless of what industry you are in, so being prepared for new challenges and opportunities is best met by embracing a willingness to change. This can be difficult, especially for businesses that have successfully operated for a long time. They get in the mindset of “why mess with success”, but this can be a dangerous mentality and lead to missed opportunities or failure to respond confidently to new challenges.
Anticipating change is a big part of everyday life here at Diversified. We readily and happily embrace changes and always have throughout our over 30 years of operation. Just last year alone we added almost a dozen new associates, expanded our office, promoted several associates, changed or organizational structure and continued to expand the numerous strategic solutions we offer our clients. The changes are continuing into 2016, expanding our ownership base and adding six additional Diversified associates as shareholders to help drive the direction of the organization in the upcoming years.
I encourage you to take a close look at your organization’s current operations and structure and evaluate how implementing change could positively impact the way you do business.
All of the best,
